WHO IS ERNIE SAXTON?

A veteran of more than 35 years' experience in motorsports marketing and promotions. Ernie Saxton is doing exactly what he's always wanted to do: upgrading motorsports communications, bringing motorsports to the corporate world and helping motorsports grow and prosper. Considered an expert in sponsorship marketing, he is often called on for media interviews and consultation.

Saxton was Manager of Marketing and advertising for Chilton Book Company, a division of ABC/Capital Cities, for 13 years. In 1989 he left to pursue full-time (what had been a part-time endeavor) the motorsports and automotive aftermarket activities which had been demanding more and more of his time.

An award-winning broadcaster and journalist, Saxton is a frequent contributor to national and local publications such as TRACKSIDE, AREA AUTO RACING NEWS, BUCKS COUNTY COURIER TIMES, INSIDE TRACK (CANADA), NATIONAL DRAGSTER, AUTO LOCATOR and others including STOCK CAR RACING MAGAZINE and NASCAR MAGAZINE in addition to his international motorsports marketing newsletter, MOTORSPORTS SPONSORSHIP MARKETING NEWS. Saxton's articles also appear on www.openwheelracing.com. He is also part of Monday Night Motorsports show on WEST-AM Radio in Easton, Pa. He also contributes to WBCB AM Radio.

Saxton served six years as Press Liaison for Pocono International (more than 130,000 people at each NASCAR Winston Cup event.) Director of Communications and MC for the annual Pennzoil Motorsports auto racing trade show which attracts over 50,000 people. He is "jack of all trades" for NASCAR's Grandview Speedway: He is Director of Communications, publisher and editor of the track's weekly magazine and was producer and host of Grandview's weekly TV show, "Greatest Show on Dirt". He is vice president of Marketing for Rising Star Publications (publishing motorsports books; including books on Davey Allison, Robert Pressley and Max Helton.). He also was co-host of a two hour call in auto racing/sports show on WIP Radio-Philadelphia.  The well-known announcer and speaker also gives back to the industry. He helped found both the Motorsports Organizers of Pennsylvania and the Eastern Motorsports Press Association, and is currently President of EMPA.

Don't know if you remember me. Paul Amenta from Connecticut. Two years ago I attended one of your seminars and have subscribed to your newsletter and read your books on sponsorship since then. I got Kozy Shack Pudding for a sponsor and we just completed our first year with them. So far, we have delivered and exceeded what was expected of us. All by just following the advice and information from your publication.

Thank you,
Paul Amenta, Team Manager
